It’s been cloudy in my neck of the woods.  Not a big surprise since I live in Portland, right?  Last winter was my first winter here and let me tell you, I was miserable.  You can’t convert a gal from L.A. in one season.  Besides, I found it hard to look cute in the rain.  People around here barely use umbrellas for cryin’ out loud!  Well, this year I’m determined to have a better attitude about the crappy weather.  Wearing hot new boots would help.  Beautiful shoes are always a mood lifter.  That and chocolate cupcakes.  Mmm, cupcakes…

Mmm, cupcakes…  I’m having a hard time focusing today.  It’s hard to blog (or work, or anything else) with visions of chocolate cupcakes dancing in my head.

I’m going to admit right now that at times I have shopping shame.  Yes, I deserve it.  Yes, I look good in it.  But sometimes I feel a teensy, weensy bit indulgent for caving to my retail desires.  Then I get over it.  Fast.

I love flat boots and I’m going to wear these all the time.  They fit great, they’re comfy and best of all, they were on sale!
