Dove Lovely



I don’t know about you, but this sweltering weather is making my face “glow” and not in a good way.  I also noticed some tiny bumps on my forehead that reminds me of heat rash.    

Even though I take skin care seriously, I didn’t want spend a lot of loot.  So I decided to try out Dove’s Energy Glow Facial Cleansing Pillows.

I just noticed today that the packaging says it’s for maturing skin.  I think I’m a few years away from fitting into that demographic, but the product works wonders on my stressed-out skin.  It cleans, exfoliates and makes my face feel as soft as the proverbial baby’s bottom.  I’m not sure about its brightening powers, but I certainly feel brighter knowing my skin is looking and feeling fresher.

Venus flytraps

Is there a more fabulous invention than mascara?  I can’t live without the stuff.  I’m always trolling the aisles at Walgreen’s in search of the perfect drug store mascara.

Recently I bought Maybelline New York’s Lash Stylist.  It promises to sculpt and lift, and give lashes volume that’s super thick.  I think it does lift the lashes a little, but I’m a die hard user of my Shu Uemura eyelash curler so that’s not as important.  As for the super thick part, it delivered a little too much.  Instead of long, lush, separated lashes, I got more of a Venus flytrap look.  It was definitely more Liza Minelli than Adriana Lima.
